Altura Gear cares deeply about your privacy. We only process data that we need for (improving) our services and handle the information we collect about you and your use of our services with care. We never make your data available to third parties for commercial purposes.

This privacy policy applies to the use of the website and its associated services of Altura Gear. The effective date for the validity of these terms is 04/20/2022, with the publication of a new version invalidating all previous versions. This privacy policy describes what data about you is collected by us, what these data are used for, and with whom and under what conditions this data may be shared with third parties. We also explain to you how we store your data, how we protect your data against misuse, and what rights you have regarding the personal data you provide to us. Web shop software

WooCommerce

Our web shop is developed with WooCommerce software. Personal data that you provide to us for our services is shared with this party. WooCommerce has access to your data to provide us with (technical) support; they will never use your data for any other purpose.

WooCommerce is required to take appropriate security measures based on the agreement we have with them. These security measures consist of the application of SSL encryption and a strong password policy. WooCommerce uses cookies to collect technical information regarding your use of the software; no personal data is collected and/or stored.

WooCommerce reserves the right to share collected data within its concern to further improve services.

Payment processors

Mollie

For handling (part of) the payments in our web shop, we use the Mollie platform. Mollie processes your name, address and residence details, and your payment details such as your bank account or credit card number. Mollie has implemented appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data. Mollie reserves the right to use your data to further improve their services and share (anonymized) data with third parties. All aforementioned safeguards regarding the protection of your personal data also apply to any parts of Mollie’s services for which they engage third parties. Mollie does not store your data longer than permitted by statutory terms.

Shipping and logistics

PostNL

When you place an order with us, it is our job to have your package delivered to you. We use PostNL’s services for deliveries. It is therefore necessary that we share your name, address, and residence details with PostNL. PostNL uses this information only for executing the agreement. In case PostNL engages subcontractors, PostNL will also make your data available to these parties.

Invoicing and accounting

Exact

For maintaining our administration and accounting, we use Exact’s services. We share your name, address and residence details, and details regarding your order. This data is used for administering sales invoices. Your personal data is transmitted and stored securely. Exact is bound by confidentiality and will treat your information confidentially. Exact does not use your personal data for purposes other than those described above.

Purpose of Data Processing

General purpose of processing We use your data exclusively for our services. This means that the purpose of processing is always directly related to the assignment you provide. We do not use your data for (targeted) marketing. If you share data with us and we use this data to contact you at a later time – other than at your request – we will ask for your explicit consent. Your data will not be shared with third parties, except to comply with accounting and other administrative obligations. These third parties are all bound to confidentiality based on the agreement between them and us or an oath or legal obligation.

Automatically collected data

Data automatically collected by our website is processed to further improve our services. This data (for example, your IP address, web browser, and operating system) is not personal data.

Cooperation with tax and criminal investigations

In some cases, Altura Gear B.V. may be required by law to share your data in connection with government tax or criminal investigations. In such cases, we are forced to share your data, but we will oppose this within the limits of the legal possibilities.

Retention periods

We retain your data as long as you are our client. This means we keep your customer profile until you indicate that you no longer wish to use our services. If you indicate this to us, we will also consider this as a request to be forgotten. Due to applicable administrative obligations, we must keep invoices with your (personal) data, so we will keep this data for as long as the applicable term runs. However, employees no longer have access to your client profile and documents we have created in response to your assignment.

Your rights

Under applicable Dutch and European legislation, as a data subject you have certain rights regarding your personal data processed by or on behalf of us. We explain below what these rights are and how you can invoke these rights. In principle, to prevent abuse, we will only send copies of your data to your already known email address. In case you wish to receive the data at a different email address or by post, we will ask you to identify yourself. We maintain a record of processed requests, and in the case of a forget request, we administer anonymized data. You receive all copies and excerpts of data in the machine-readable format we use within our systems. You have the right at all times to file a complaint with the Data Protection Authority if you suspect that we are using your personal data incorrectly.

You always have the right to view the data we (have) process(ed) that relate to your person or can be traced back to you. You can submit a request to this effect to our privacy contact person. You will receive a response to your request within 30 days. If your request is granted, we will send you a copy of all data with an overview of the processors who have this data at your known email address, stating the category under which we have stored this data.

You always have the right to have the data we (have) process(ed) that relate to your person or can be traced back to you modified. You can submit a request to this effect to our privacy contact person. You will receive a response to your request within 30 days. If your request is granted, we will send you confirmation that the data has been modified to your known email address.

Right to restriction of processing

You always have the right to limit the data we (have) process(ed) that relate to your person or can be traced back to you. You can submit a request to this effect to our privacy contact person. You will receive a response to your request within 30 days. If your request is granted, we will send you confirmation at your known email address that the data will no longer be processed until you lift the restriction.

Right to data portability

You always have the right to have the data we (have) process(ed) that relate to your person or can be traced back to you performed by another party. You can submit a request to this effect to our privacy contact person. You will receive a response to your request within 30 days. If your request is granted, we will send you copies or copies of all data about you that we have processed or that have been processed by other processors or third parties on our behalf at your known email address. In all likelihood, we can no longer continue the service in such a case, as the secure linking of data files can then no longer be guaranteed.

Right to object and other rights
